Marketing & Events Coordinator

The Marketing & Event Coordinator plans, directs, and oversees the marketing and event activities for
Seneca Lake Resorts. Responsible for driving visibility and market segment growth. Coordinates sales and rental of “The Vista” event facility and manages in-house events at the facility. Will monitor, analyze, and report metrics for all marketing initiatives to management and ownership group.

General Skills & Responsibilities:

– Assists the General Manager with marketing and related business development needs of Seneca
Lake Resorts (SLR) and Seneca State Park Marina.

– Responsible for booking and managing events at The Vista event venue at Sampson Park.

– Develops marketing strategies to promote rentals of cabins, seasonal RV sites, marina slips
(seasonal and transient), pontoon boat rentals, and retail at the SLR Store.

– Creates, manages, and distributes creative marketing content and material through ads (digital & traditional), social media channels, e-newsletters, brochures, tradeshows, radio, magazines, website, and blogs.

– Event execution of SLR promoted events including Friday Music Series, July 3rd Celebration,
Spring Kick-off, Fall Celebration.

– Interview, Hire, Train, Schedule, and Manage Vista Events Staff.

– Plans meetings and trade shows by identifying, assembling, and coordinating with target market.

– Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Education / Experience:
– Associated or bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or technical field. MBA a plus.

– 1-2 years of progressive (digital & traditional) marketing, communication, and lead experience.

– Proven ability to develop marketing strategies with the ability to plan, implement and measure results for branding, digital marketing, and lead generation.

– Must possess a deep understanding of data analytics and the ability to turn data into useful insights that lead to evolving behaviors and actions.

– Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal communication, and problem-solving skills.

– Excellent computer skills with proficiency in MS Office. Graphic design and website development knowledge are preferred.

– Ability to multitask, prioritize and thrive in a fast-paced work environment.

Physical Requirements:
– Ability to sit for 8+ hours daily, working on keyboard, and telephone.

– Ability to sit in front of and operate a computer.

– Ability to work effectively in a busy office environment without being distracted by telephones, or other team member customer communication.

– Ability to tolerate moderate noise levels created by computers, printers, and telephone calls.

– Ability to travel via air, water, or land.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $42,000.00 – $50,000.00 per year
